New Update:

Over the last several years mlm lead brokers have become very good at generating mlm leads, however these leads are extremely generic. In other words, your leads need to go through another process before you can actually claim they are a mlm lead.

And this is where most network marketers fail. They either send these prospects to their downline recruiting system or they fail to have a lead opt in to their own personalized system.

I've written a great deal about it here: Finding Good MLM Leads

Basic MLM Lead Background

Generating mlm leads in the olden days required a mlm distributor to speak to family, friends and relatives.  Those who were really ambitious would go out into the public and try the F.O.R.M. method.  This FORM method helped a lot of distributors reach higher levels in their mlm companies.

FORM stands for Family, Occupation, Recreation and Message.

The mlm distributor would try to strike up a conversation with a stranger and use the above FORM strategy to generate a mlm lead.  It works because I can still remember back in 1997 when a mlm distributor ran into me at McDonald's and used this approach on me.  I knew what was happening and did play along with the guy.  It was fun.

As things evolved mlm distributors would set up booths at local trade shows and fairs.  Setting up their display booth allowed them to do mlm presentation in front of many mlm prospects.  From all these mlm prospects they could really sift and sort their mlm leads.

Napkin presentations were another popular way to show their presentation to mlm leads. Meeting a mlm prospect for lunch or dinner the mlm distributor could have their full attention while the mlm business was drawn up and shared on a paper napkin.

There were hundreds of mlm presentations being delivered in mlm organizations all across the country.  However, some mlm distributors knew there was a better way to attract new mlm prospects and they went out and started to "Spend Money" on advertising.

Generating their own MLM Lead

It started small but eventually mushroomed into a national advertising campaign based on the success of their mlm advertising.

Local papers, thrifty nickel, regional newspapers and with the "New" paper USA Today allowed mlm distributors to advertise and generate their own mlm leads.  It wasn't cheap but they did convert quit a few of these mlm leads into purchasing customers and new mlm distributors.

In today's market generating your own mlm lead is a little risky in my book. The biggest reason is that all of those mlm prospects are looking at many opportunities (like shoppers who compare prices and products) so they are bombarded with different mlm presentations.

SIDENOTE:  I remember calling some of our USA TODAY mlm prospects and one of them came right out and asked me: "Which ad was your's, I responded to 10 different ones".

Purchase MLM Leads from Broker

Back in 1998 through 2001 E-MAIL was a very popular choice.  We would purchase mlm leads from a broker and then send out our mlm sales message using autoresponders. The mlm prospect would read our message, check out the website and fill in a form.  Each mlm lead that filled out a form would then be dumped into another "follow up" responder which would drip our message on them for another month or two.

Purchasing mlm leads from a broker was a tough business. Some brokers would recycle their mlm leads over and over again.  Others would sell their mlm leads to 5 different mlm distributors in the same month.  It was difficult to get an "exclusive lead".

Today we have thousands of different ways to generate our own mlm leads or purchase mlm leads from list brokers who are professionals at finding people who are interested in starting their own home based business.

Price Per Member

I'm sure I have missed a few but right now we have 13 different kinds of mlm leads to chose from.  The cost of these mlm leads will vary enormously.

My Advise to You:

If you plan on being in the mlm industry for any length of time, you better get good at working your mlm leads, diversifying your mlm prospecting and learning how to determine the PRICE PER MEMBER as apposed to the PRICE PER LEAD.

Let me give you an example of what I am talking about.

Two days ago I received a phone call from a MLM Distributor who just purchased some Fresh mlm leads off our website.  We discussed many things and in our conversation she told me that her mlm upline was already generating Fresh mlm leads.  Her investment in these mlm leads were $50 for 10 fresh mlm leads.  (which is an average price-I've seen these higher).  But.......

She told me she was sponsoring 1 out of every 5 mlm leads, (which is an excellent conversion).  Her price per new member was $25 and that is very good in the mlm industry.

If you purchased $50 worth of mlm email leads (that could be something like 3,000 mlm leads) and sent them out in bulk you might expect from 3 to 25 new mlm leads which will now be in your drip system.  If you sponsor one new mlm distributor out of this (which is still good) your price would be $50 per new member.

I am not exactly sure what the averages are today but last year the average per new member was roughly $63.27 per new mlm distributor.

Obviously, that number is average.  Experienced mlm distributors are lower and new mlm distributors are higher.  However, with the help of upline mlm members the numbers go down.  Having a good mlm presenation system will help you as well.

Bottom Line:  If I can teach you just one thing from this website it is this: Don't ever look at the price of mlm leads-instead figure out the price per new member using the mlm leads your upline recommends.

Bookmark this Page and visit often

I will list all 13 mlm leads and on each page we will break down what that mlm lead will look like, average prices of those leads and give you some recommendations of WHERE to get those mlm leads.

I am asking for your help.  If you find a broker you can trust, please pass along that information and if you find a mlm lead broker that you want others to stay away from please let us know.  OK?
