10 FAQ's of MLM Leads
Get this Right the First Time and Save a Ton of Money and Sponsor More Networkers

Do the leads work?

I guarantee you will get two different answers.

1) Yes, they work

2) No, they are worthless.

If we look into both worlds you'll either find a beginner who didn't know what they are doing, learning on their own and failing miserably or you will find a networker who has experience working mlm leads and can generate optin leads, sponsor new reps and teach their downline exactly how to use those mlm leads to sponsor more people.

What happens if you don't have a upline sponsor who knows how to work these leads? Will the lead broker teach you or have access to a training library that will help you?

Just so you know, I am in the camp that absolutely believes in mlm leads. We have a two pronged approach to working our leads and we take the path of least resistance first.  That is via email.

We use email marketing the most because it has the least resistance, you can automate your business and most importantly it requires the least amount of time.

WARNING: the set up an automated system it will take time, but the time savings in the end beat out the initial time commitment.

Part 2 of our two pronged approach is "smiling and dialing".  Yup, we pick up the phone, dial our mlm leads and hopefully get to leave a voice mail message. (again path of least resistance).  Leaving voice mail messages doesn't require a direct contact with the prospect, instead we leave them a message (much like our emails) however this has added meaning because we spent the time to dial their number and leave our message.  The other aspect that is oftentimes unnoticed is that prospect gets to hear our voice. Our only goal in this message to entice them to optin to receive our free video report.  We leave our lead capture page and ask them to visit the minute they get online.

If our prospect has not responded to either email or voice mail message we'll try calling to more times. Our goal the next two times is to try and talk to them directly.

This has been our strategy of working mlm leads since 1998.  If this strategy didn't work, do you really think we'd still be using it?

Now, to answer your question one last time: Do mlm leads work?  Our answer is simply, yes they work but be careful who you purchase your mlm leads from.  We've tried mlm leads from around 36 different lead brokers over the years.  Some companies went under, others faded into the distance because their leads were bad and new companies prop up all the time because the network marketing industry is so prosperous.  With new companies come new scam artists therefore, we are very careful.

Since 1998, we have come to know 3 or 4 reputable lead brokers and today we are down to one company that we highly recommend and one other company we would mildly recommend.

What kind of leads will I get?

Now that could be a loaded question.  However, if you visit various sites, you'll probably see the following types of mlm leads being offered:

What you really want in your mlm lead purchase will be the following:

As I have already explained on the other web page we use a two prong approach to work our mlm leads.  We always take the path of least resistence and that is email first and phone second.

That is our approach but ask your upline for help because they probably use a different approach that they have found that works best for their mlm leads. Regardless of any strategy you use the most important factor in your business is:

Does your lead capture page have a strong and compelling enough story or
offer a
FREE product that wants your prospect to leave their name and number.

If it is, you have zero problems, but if it doesn't convert, you might want to consider creating your own lead capture page as the first hoop in your presentation process.

Bottom Line: if you are recruiting people to join because of a business, then make sure your mlm leads are opting into a lead capture page that offers a business opportunity. MLM Leads will NOT work if you are leading with a product page.

Make Sense?

How many people can I sponsor with these leads?

Now that is a really loaded question:

Sponsoring is based on your experience as well as your presentation and follow up system.

I'm sure you would like to hear that you can sponsor 10 out of 100 leads. That is possible but highly unlikely. Most beginners (less than 2 months experience marketing on the internet) will need a couple of months to learn the ropes because the amount of people you sponsor will be directly related to your experience and presentation.

In the 90's our new system couldn't miss with any of the mlm leads we purchased from various lead brokers. The best part was our beginning networkers who had zero experience could sponsor new members within the first month of their new careers. As time went by our lead sources started to dry up and we had to settle for one primary lead company and a secondary lead source when our downline members could financially support a second set of leads.

As you can see our system did the work for us. If your system is that good you can expect to sponsor new members monthly.  If your sysem is not that good, you could possibly go a month or two before you sponsor 1 new member.

Again, based on experience, if your system isn't that good, but you are a good recruiter on the phone and can lead people to the answers they need, you can still sponsor a lot of people per 100 leads.  However, if you don't have a good presentation and you have zero experience your chances of sponsoring 1 new person is very low.

Bottom Line: if you are new to network marketing recruiting and sponsoring you have a learning curve and the sooner you face that learning curve and beat it, the sooner your business can grow. If you have a great sponsor who will actually stand by you, your chances of success using mlm leads is really good.

Those of you who have experience you will need a small learning curve to learn your best approach but once you have that nailed you will succeed in sponsoring new members.

How much do they cost?

That will depend entirely on what type of leads you purchase. Just remember cheaper leads are usually older leads and depending upon which lead broker you get them from, the mlm leads could have been bought and sold multiple times and dispersed a lot. These types of leads are worthless and whenever you see a lot of leads for a cheap price, don't waste your money.

The only lead source we trust and recommend has extremely competitive prices as well as the top training in the industry. Not only will they sell you great leads, they will teach you how to use them and assist you with any challenges you face. That only is worth the price of admission and I know you'll enjoy their backoffice training area.

Bottom Line: good mlm leads are worth the price you pay only if you receive training to use them. More importantly is the fact that the new members you do sponsor will want to follow your lead and you can share this training and backoffice access with them.

They seem expensive, why?

Have you ever tried to generate your own leads?  If you have then you know how expensive it can get. Now, I know of people who do generate their own leads and actually get paid but that is a mlm funded proposal system they are using.

Yes, there are people who have spent a fortune learning how to use Pay Per Clicks and now they have narrowed down their keywords and found the ones that are actually cheaper or produce better results.  However, their learning curve cost them thousands of dollars and a lot of time invested.

Depending on the type of lead you want, it could cost you upwards of $5-7. Most good mlm leads are between $1-2.  You can get the cost per lead down if you purchase in bulk.

MLM Lead generation is an expensive proposition. Lead brokers who generate their own leads need to sell these leads at least twice to help them break even or make a small amount of money on the leads. That is why it will cost you a little more money but in the long run it will save you a tremendous amount of time up front.

How old are the leads that you sell us?

This will depend entirely upon the type of leads you purchase.  You can purchase fresh leads that are anywhere from zero to 48 hours old. You can set up your own lead capture page and lead brokers will drive traffic to your site so you can get the leads immediately upon filling out their request.

I've purchased and had success with mlm leads that are 1-15 days old.  Because I learned on these types of leads that is my preference.  Truthfully, these days if  you are a beginner to intermediate mlm'er, I would recommend you stick to leads that are less than 5 days old.  Most reputable lead brokers offer a slew of leads that are in that category, it just depends on your method of marketing.

If you are purchasing email or autorepsonder leads then  you could be looking at leads that are around 15-30 days old.  Try not to suckered into purchasing leads older than 30 days unless you have a proven email piece that gets tremendous results with fresher leads.

What is the response rate of your leads?

Oh boy, this is a loaded question.  Can you probably figure out that experience will play a major role in your response rate?  If you have a good sales page, good email letter, good phone script, good free offer, then you should expect a 3-5% response rate on email pieces.  That number should increase (sometimes dramatically) if you use the phone.

I've had experiences (more than once) where I have received a zero response rate.  If you stick around long enough, you are bound to have these results as well.

I would never give up on a lead source after their first set of leads.  Give them a 2 month trial before you make the statement: yes, they are good mlm leads or no, these leads suck.

Bottom Line: if you have a proven system, proven letter, proven script and you try a new lead source, you'll know real fast if the leads are any good or not.

Understand, I have received over 10 years of mlm leads from various sources and they do have months where their leads are not that good.  Because of my experience using their leads in previous months I can determine rather quickly if the lead source is any good for OUR METHODS of marketing.

Are the leads guaranteed?

I would never purchase leads if they weren't guaranteed.  Most reputable lead brokers will offer replacement leads.  Most often they replace bad phone numbers and now some lead brokers will replace email leads.

If a lead broker is not willing to stand behind their leads, then it's time to run in the opposite direction.

How should I work these leads?

We have covered this a lot in the above answers.  But I will lay out our strategy for you and you can either follow it, modify it or use your own methods that fit your marketing presentations.

1. We start with the path of lead resistance:  email promotion
2. Next path of least resistance: leave a voice mail message
3. Direct path to the prospect: talk to them on the phone

Anyone who responds will always be in our follow up systems and we do keep our A-list prospects up to date with current events or happenings in our business.  B-list prospects usually receive 2 messages a month and the rest of our leads receive an update once a month.

Can I honestly build my business using your leads?

Absolutely: we built a 10K a month business using mlm leads exclusively and I see no reason why you can't either.  However, the system you use will play a major role in your success or failure.
