2. Are they Responsive MLM Leads
Responsive does not mean, will they respond to my email campaign with the crappy subject line and ad copy. Responsive means when you contact the person are they geniunely interested in a home based business or network marketing business.
Responsive mlm leads will normally come from mlm lead brokers who are not incentivising their leads. That means not offering them something for free if they fill out some worthless online form.
YOu can quickly determine if they are responsive mlm leads by picking up the phone and giving them a quick call. What worries me about some of the scripts that are used out there is the initial contact with a lead.
It burns when YOU the prospector opens your call with:
Hi _____, my name is Tim Buck Tooth and I am calling you because I want to know if you filled out some form on the internet looking for a business opportunity that will make you a million dollars next week.
Start your call like this and watch what kind of difference it makes the next time you pick up the phone.
Hi ____, Bob Alter out here in Washington State, how are you today?
Listen, please put your money away, I don't want it--the purpose of my call is simple: It's obvious you are looking for some way to earn a few extra dollars from home or you wouldn't have requested more information, is that correct?
"I need to get this "Free Report" on "7 Tips to Starting a Home Based Business" in your hands as fast as possible. What is your primary email address? Great, when you receive that report go ahead and print it out and read it when you are not pressed for time. Write down your questions and email them to me. I'll answer them for you and then we can proceed from there. How does that sound to you, [firstname].
The majority of prospects are not used to this type of approach and it makes a WORLD of DIFFERENCE.
Tip #1: Answering Machine Message:
[firstname], sorry I missed you. My name is Bob Alter and I've got a "Free Report" on "7 Tips to Starting a Home Based Business", I'm sending it via email so be on the lookout for this report coming from [my email address]. When you receive that report go ahead and print it out and read it when you are not pressed for time. Write down your questions and email them to me. I'll answer them for you and then we can proceed from there. Take care and looking forward to answering your questions, [firstname].
3. Are they Guaranteed MLM Leads
This is NOT a trick question. There are mlm lead brokers out there that will guarantee their leads. Some lead brokers will replace any bad lead straight across. Mailing list brokers are notorious for giving you 5 new leads for every bad lead you produce. This is normally called Nixies.
Reputable lead brokers will give you new mlm leads but very few will actually refund your money. We do know of one company that will guarantee their leads or get your money back.
I personally would not worry about "getting your money back" what I would worry about is the bottom line: "what is the price per new member". In any given mlm lead batch you will find some bad leads, it's just a fact of life. 4. How Many Times Have They Been Sold
This is HUGE. The first time you purchase leads from a broker you have to take their word on it. However, you can ask any lead broker for references and if they don't give you an answer that meets your criteria, then you might want to turn your back on purchasing leads from them.
As a general rule, leads need to be sold 2 or 3 times for the broker to gain a profit from them. They should never be sold to you or anyone else in your company and they should not be brokered out for at least 30 days.
Depending on the type of lead you desire, being sold 2 times should not bother you, especially if you know your system, product or company is better than any other mlm company on the market.

5. Does the mlm lead broker provide specific training

6. Do they provide support after the sale?
If you have a problem downloading your mlm leads, can you pick up the phone and get help? Would they be willing to format their leads different for your needs. Do you need assistance with your credit card?
Reputable mlm lead companies, will have a quailified staff member present to not only answer your calls, but offer you assistance in every way possible.
To find out if a company has support, simply pick up the phone and give them a call. Ask them a specific question about a certain type of lead and then ask them what they believe is the best possible way to contact that lead.
Ask them any question you want and listen closely. Many times mlm lead companies are a "mom and pop" shop (which is not bad) and they will make sure and get your questions answered. Another tactic I use to see how responsive they are is to email them a question or two and see how long it takes them to answer your email.
Customer service is very important especially if it involves a downline member. Make sure this mlm lead company will provide service after the sale.
7. What is the Price per new member?
A lot people get all hung up if they purchase a batch of mlm leads and 5 out of 200 do not have good phone numbers. If the leads are guaranteed, who cares? Right? Just get it replaced.
What determines a good mlm lead in my mind is the actual cost per new member. To determine the price per new member simply take the price of your leads and divide it by the number of new members that mlm lead batch produced. Add to that your actual mailings, phone costs and any other material you needed to close the sale.
Example: 100 Real Time Leads = $200
You sponsor two new members from this batch of leads. $200 divided by 2 new members equals $100 per new member.
If you sponsor 4 new members from this batch of leads then I would say it's an average number. We try very hard to get our cost per new member down to less than $30. That's our goal and yes we do realize that newbee's are Not going to hit that mark. However, with our help they should be able to come pretty close to the $30 range.
Now, I've gotta be honest and tell you that some adveritising campaigns we have used in the past have been total bombs. My worst cost per new member is something like $531. That's the truth and I am not that happy about it, but we learn from our mistakes, correct?
