I have 13 people in my downline and not a single person is doing anything, what should I do? this is probably the number 1 question we receive on a weekly basis. Did you join the MLM industry to become a baby sitter? it's been documented and proven that the majority of mlm'ers spend 95% of their time in the wrong areas. How about you? 95% is Robbing Your Income |
A good mlm sponsor not only prepares their downline they can motivate their mlm downline.
Sometimes you gotta let go before the bird will fly out of your hand. What are you doing to stop your downline growth? Is it "me" or is it "them"?
I know how exciting it is to sponsor your first mlm prospect. Heck it never gets dull nor does the luster fad away. What will happen is: "I just sponsored a new person and now the work REALLY begins".
As your mlm downline grows, you should be on the look out for leaders. These are people who take matters into their own hands. These leaders will bombard you with tons of questions, 3 way calls, etc. They are DO'ERS and not WATCH'ERS.
I'm just as guilty as the other mlm distributor when it comes to.......
Spending all my time on a person who just joined the business but is not really motivated to do something. Heck we've had people spend $600 and sit on their butts. Go figure!
Here is the solution:
Never stop sponsoring new mlm distributors. Tell them point blank you will be there for them, but you will not baby-sit them. Explain to them exactly how you will support them. Tell them you are on the front lines everyday talking to new mlm prospects and getting them in front of the material they will need to succeed.
By doing the above and being very sincere about it, you will notice a BIG TIME change in your downlines approach to the mlm business you are in.

Why Did They Join Your MLM Company? |
Do you know the answer? If you don't then I can see exactly why your downline is sitting on their butts. Motiving people is not that hard to do, simply find out what "hot button" you need to push to get them excited.
I do not recommend this "how to motivate your downline strategy" all the time, but it worked on me.
Let me explain.
Way back in 1995 a friend of ours shared with us some products and mlm business opportunity. We liked him and listened to his tape (actually Sue did). She liked what she heard and bought some products (holly cow $135 worth-which floored me).
The products arrived on a Tuesday and sat in our living room for 2 weeks. Our sponsored called us during that 2nd week and asked us "how we felt". I told him we haven't touched the products and he was floored. "You mean to tell me that you just invested $135 and your investment is sitting in your living room collecting dust"? What's wrong with you people?
Well, movitation number 1: he embarrassed us. Guess what happened that evening? Sue began to take the products.
After 2 days, Sue called our mlm sponsor and was ranting and raving about these products. He was thrilled and began to share the news around the community about Sue's testimonial.
Little did we know that he began to sponsor and place these people in our downline. The next month approached and he called us to let us know we needed to re-order products. I told him he was nuts, we didn't have that kind of money (it wasn't a lie, we just purchased our new home and didn't have a dime to spare). He told us to stop worrying and purchase the products. So we did.
About a week went by and he called us again.
This time he was excited.
"Bob, get over here, I just gotta
show someone this piece of paper and it should be you". After
practice that evening I stopped by his house and he pulled out of an envelope
a check for over $600, $605.37 to be exact.
I couldn't believe my eyes. I said: "you hand out that tape and you just received a check for that much"? YUP and it's gonna get better next month.
Well, that motivated the heck out of me. The very next day, Sue came running out of the house hollering and screaming. "Bob, you gotta see this". She pulls out a check for $136.81. It paid for our products.
We got motivated and by the time our next check rolled around it was $531.17.

How to Motivate Your MLM Downline FACTOR #1: CHECKS! Sue's testimonial and someone placing members in our downline.
LIke I said before, don't do this unless you are comfortable and know the person real well. It motivated us to heights you wouldn't believe and our mlm sponsor reaped the reward 10 fold. He earned over $50K from our donwline alone in 1996.
How to Motivate your MLM Downline FACTOR #2: Contests! Work real well, if you can get the fence sitters to do something. If you end up motivating the "motivated" then what do you have?
For instance: if you have some diamonds in your group, platinums, etc. then motivate your downline with a contest for all bronzes or silvers. This can be accomplished by offering something they want. Run a newsletter asking all bronze and silvers if they could get anything they want for around $100 what would they want.
Tabulate all the answers and then pick the most popular choice as a prize for the person who creates the most volume or sponsors the most people.
How to Motivate your MLM Downline FACTOR #3: BRIBE THEM! Geez, we do this all the time. Bribery can come in many forms and many creative people use this technique well.
My favorite "how to motivate your downline" bribe is: Offering free leads to anyone who can show me they contacted "x" amount of people in a week. Truth be told, nobody in my downline will ever run out of mlm leads if they work them.
I will give away 100 mlm leads. Some of them are from my lead capture pages, others come from mlm exclusive leads I have purchased and yet others come from the fresh daily mlm leads we receive.
If any mlm downline member will show me the results of their 100 mlm leads, I will give them a new batch immediately. The information I want to receive is:
1. how many leads contacted-dialed
(has to be 100%)
2. how many leads had bad numbers
3. how
many leads were spoken to
4. how many messages did they leave
5.
how many will be placed in their drip system
6. how many
are interested in our mlm funded proposal
7. how many joined/purchased
our secret strategies information
That's all I want in order for them to receive another 100 free leads. Keep in mind what is happening above.
I am teaching my downline how to track all their efforts. This is critical to long term success, because if anyone ever comes whinning to me, I will ask them to pull out their tracking sheet for that month and we will go over it. 90% of the time these distributors will not have been consistent with #1 above.
It also keeps my downline in the mlm trenches, making contacts on a daily basis. It also helps them build a mlm pipeline of other mlm distributors who they will be able to contact daily, weekly or monthly.
